The opposite of Love is Indifference.
When you hate someone it means you carry strong feelings toward them.
This is why they say there is a thin line between Love and Hate.
If I hate you it means I love you so much that you have angered me to a level that I started Hating you.
Hate is a big word, like salt and fat, use sparingly.

i totally agree i always say that i hate this and that but in my heart i know that its not hate i feel but when it comes to people i try not to use the word hate much because it only shows that i care as u said,plus some are just not significant enough to hate

That's my favorite Jack Vettriano painting! I just love love loveeeee the pose and the way he drew her, in contrast to all his other female subjects whom didn't show much beauty. In my opinion she's one of the most beautiful painted subjects!
And according to the post, I highly agree, hate is only a result of a love. Well I shouldn't agree but oh well ;p

as for the love/hate issue... I agree.. hate isn't the opposite of love.. not at all. It takes a lot to hate someone and truly mean it. Indifference is more likely

I know this is crazy...but I really dislike indifference..I'd rather love or hate...but not indifference...it's like I've gone dead and nothing matters...it's when one losses the passion for living..and definately love the painting...beautiful!
